GeyerThis book is a fantastic resource for anybody who wants to see how the uniforms of the major armies of World War 2 were worn and changed over the years. The photos are clear; and there are detailed descriptions of each piece of equipment. Other uniform book publishers should copy what Europa Militaria did with this book and their World War 1 Infantry Uniforms book.As with Europa's WW1 uniforms book; I would love to see them expand this title to also include some of the lesser known participants in the conflict (e.g. Hungary; Romania; British Commonwealth; etc.).0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. My soapbox reviewBy William WallaceThis is a pretty decent book and is good for a generalized overview.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. So much in such a little bookBy R. SardrenaFor those curious about military memoribilia - especially about World War II - this thin book is a superb reference. I have seen a number of publications dealing with the same subject; but none equal the excellent layout of the Europa Militaria series. For each uniform; one page describes its history; and has a diagram and description of each item worn; the facing page has a person wearing the authentic preserved garments. The World War II Infantry book is the best of the series; but the equally rare issue on America's army in Vietnam has the same format and value. I dread the day when my copy is damaged; it's hard to believe that there would not be a future reprint of such a well-done little book. Even the size is exactly right; large enough to show great detail; but small enough to be a handy reference. If this is your area of interest; pick one up.
