My teacher said I did not have to buy the most up to date (and most expensive) version so I bought this one. It is inexpensive. It reads easily more like a story than a textbook.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I love this textbookBy RoadrunnerI love this textbook! History can be a boring subject for some but this book presents it in terms that are engaging as well as instructive. I love the humanistic feel of the book as well. Instead of presenting events and dates; it presents the very human motivations catalysts behind those events as well. I may get volume 2 and just read it for pleasure! :)1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. easy to comprehendBy Angelo AnayaI don't know why others complained about this book. It's well-written; easy to comprehend; and filled with colorful pictures and maps that make learning the material easier.
