Lugar "Suzy" OliverThis book is very easy to follow for college students of average reading ability and high school students with good vocabularies. The book covers most of the major civilizations that shaped Western culture as we know it today. It is so good that my son who is a college student kept swiping it; causing me to need to purchase another copy. I use it as reference now in tutoring some middle school students who are homeschooled.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Hated the class but kept the bookBy Jane DoeI was forced to purchase this book for a horrible online class; but in the end I enjoyed it so much; I kept it after class was over. The text was easily read; and had great flow. The authors presented the material in an interesting and absorbable fashion. It may be an older edition; but if you would like a great book about western civilization this is it. Enjoy it. I still do 3 years later.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. This Book Makes History LiveBy Joanna69Judith Coffin is an excellent historian and writer. Even though this is a history text book it is so accurate and well written I find myself re-reading it simply because I I enjoy the subject so much.
