Not to worry; Weller's coverage of warfare from Hastings to Berlin is both concise and insightful. The second portion of this work is a very interesting study of infantry organizations and weapons as of 1967. I first read this book in 1967; but 2Lt economics precluded one's buying every book he wanted. This book therefore represented a bit of nostalgia; but offers insightful study of the whys and wherefore of tables of organization and equipment that can be transferred to any time frame. A serious student of military science and history will benefit from this work. A fellow wanting a quick entertainment....not so much.
