Review
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. it doesn't constitute a good introductory textBy Benjamin TromlyRead is a leading scholar of the period; and his text is rich in detail. Unfortunately; I really doesn't work as a teaching text at the undergraduate level. The prose is dense; and most of all; it engages at too high a level of analysis. To take one example; it calls into question the model of dual power in 1917 without explaining clearly what it was in the first place. So while the scholarship represented is solid; it doesn't constitute a good introductory text.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy Tara L.
