1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Very specific interest but excellentBy William J. TaylorThis book represents an unimaginable research effort and presents the detailed information fully and in-depth. The read is a bit cold and stodgy but the factual information is incredible; the personal stories from General Officers are fascinating; and the photoraphs are beautiful. This is a phenomenal study for those interested in this very specific niche of US Military weapons or the M1911. I would like to see a follow-up on the current M9 General Officer pistols; which are briefly introduced in the final chapter. Highly recommended reference for a very narrow niche interest.
