During the 1930s and 1940s; a unique and lasting political alliance was forged among Third Reich leaders; Arab nationalists; and Muslim religious authorities. From this relationship sprang a series of dramatic events that; despite their profound impact on the course of World War II; remained secret until now. In this groundbreaking book; esteemed Middle East scholars Barry Rubin and Wolfgang G. Schwanitz uncover for the first time the complete story of this dangerous alliance and explore its continuing impact on Arab politics in the twenty-first century.

Tutankhamun's Tomb: The Thrill of Discovery: Photographs by Harry BurtonBy William L. RobinsonI saw the first King Tut exhibit and I saw the second one a couple of years ago and I have always enjoyed the photos that Burton took on site. However; I was surprised and thrilled when I first saw this book and I had to have it. I don't know which I enjoy more; Burton's photographic art or the subject matter shown. As I have gotten older; I have come to appreciate the photographic process and art more and more. This book is amazing. The photographs themselves and quality of the printing are stunning.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. you really get the feel for what it was like back thenBy DD SackI wanted to see the original photos taken as the tomb was opened and recorded. I only wish there were more of them; you really get the feel for what it was like back then.
