Rusk County; East Texas; everyday life and hardshipBy RBI AlaskaGreat perspective about a man dedicated to his family that was very religious and very much in love with his wife. Enjoyable read if you want to get a close understanding of how brutal the civil was for someone from East Texas. I was able to see what my great great great grandfather experienced (wounded and taken prisoner) under the leadership of Capt. Wallace; .1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Family history lessonBy Dave McCallumI got this book for my dad because he wanted to learn more about our family history and he said that it has done. Would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading behind the scenes stuff that went on during the Civil War.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great InformationBy John BellA most excellent account of the 19th Texas Infantry. I enjoyed this book and it provides a good account of a regiment in Texas and the Trans-Mississippi theater.
