Enjoy the story as you appreciate the power of the ...By ArchTriumphSet in the mid-19th century prior to the Civil War; this story is compelling; heart-breaking; and redemptive. Lifelike characters leap off of the page as we are taken on their journey from poverty and prison to new life in the New World. A story of hope in the midst of trouble. The theme of racial reconciliation is relevant and powerful to so many of our modern cultural differences. Enjoy the story as you appreciate the power of the gospel to transform lives.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. How sweet!By Kindle CustomerWell; such a wonderful story; that surprised me by ending so soon. God don't like ugly; is an expression that I have heard all my life; and this story proves that! I will have to search for other works by Mr. Malcolm.
