Fair disclosure; my 4x-great-grandfather Dempsey was in Francis Marion's militia (we have his pension application); so I am highly interested in the subject. However; I think it should interest even the armchair historian. It is fascinating to ponder the fighting that occurred after Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown and the thinking of Nathaniel Greene in not agreeing to a truce in South Carolina.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
