The book examines three "world wide" religions claiming to be the "one true religion." He uses the self-identity of these groups and compares their claims to the record of history and the scriptures. In the process; the reader will be inspired to renewed trust in the Bible and a clearer picture of the Father and his only Son. Bible prophecy is fundamental to a revived interest and belief in Christ and his word. One early reader described it as "A life changing experience."

It was written with such detail I felt connected to her; her family and the people she knew from over 70 years ago. All this feeling even though my parents weren't born yet let alone me. It was so poignant. What an amazing woman to be able to share her horrific memories of that time with the world. I can only imagine the strength it took to put this story to paper.I appreciated the way Krystyna Carmi told her story. It was a bit like having a conversation with her as she remembered it all and I didn't want any interruptions as I turned the pages. I'm glad the editing process kept this 'feel' about the book. At times she repeats herself but it was such an emotional telling I think I listened and heard her all the more. This memoir brings the faces and lives of people lost in full clarity and demands her story as well as theirs be remembered. All from the eyes of a child that should never have such memories. The pictures she includes are a beautiful addition to the book. Seeing her family when they were happy before the Holocaust was heart-wrenching yet touching at the same time.My only wish would have been to hear more about Krystyna Carmi's life after she finished school and more about the Gawlinski or Stangret families (if anything is actually known). I feel guilty for wanting to know even more about them but I can't help it. She triumphed over such atrocities and kept such a beautiful faith in life; I'm in awe of her.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. FAscinating book about a Polish girl who survived WWII.By Dora M. GourleyI wish this one was recommended reading in all schools; especially in those that want to teach there was not holocaust. This sweet little Polish girl lost her family in the War; had to hide out in orchards; barns; and any other place she could. In some places the text is lacking a bit where she got food; especially the three months she hid in one of the orchards. I assume someone left food for her as they did in other places. But at 10 years those had to be years of deprivation and agony. How she survived is truly in Gods hands. Being a Jew; this would have been the Worlds despair. Interestingly enough she was taken in; at last; and became a Catholic; but I noticed in the photos at the end her sons were Jewish; so I assume she also stayed a Jew. God bless people like her that survived such a tragedy and lived to write to us to tell us how it was.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Moving memoir - a great read!By Molly ZenkI received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest reviewKrystyna Carmi was born in Poland into a loving; happy; Jewish family. Many lives were lost and even more lives were changed forever during World War II. Krystyna's story is one of courage; resilience; and never forgetting the people and places that shape our lives. In addition to the moving narrative; the book contains over 100 family pictures.THE STRANGE WAYS OF PROVIDENCE IN MY LIFE is a must read if you're interested in memoirs; World War II; and/or holocaust survivor stories. On top of the rich; immersive experience of reading Carmi's memoir; the pictures she includes really bring her world to life. Even after I finished reading; I paged through the book to view the pictures again. They tell a story all by themselves. It's a story I'm happy she shared. I'm even more happy that I got the chance to experience it by reading this book.
