Worth the readBy peterWritten in the style of another era; this well researched book takes an organized approach to describe the infancy of wartime medicine. Sherman was right when he said; "war is hell". It was particularly gruesome for the Civil War soldier. The reader will certainly appreciate the progress made by military medicine over the last 150 years0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy Gw JonesI liked "Doctors in Gray" but I don't believe I ordered this other book "The Lincoln Conspirators".3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Good ReferenceBy Gail C.This is easy reading; I have used it in genealogical research proving a 4th great uncle was a physician in the Confederate Army. Good to have in my personal library; it will be used as reference over and over.
