The Islamic Tsunami: Israel and America in the Age of Obama

ePub The Islamic Tsunami: Israel and America in the Age of Obama by David Rubin in History

Description

REDISCOVERED: EYEWITNESS HISTORY Opening with an intimate; dramatic account of the assassination of Tsar Alexander II in 1881; this long-lost partial history describes the personalities and actions of the last tsars during the years leading up to the Russian Revolution. Glittering royals; politicians; military officers; scoundrels and anarchists all walk across these pages as they did in life during the last years of the tsars. Alexander II; Alexander III; and the last tsar—the ill-fated Nicholas II—each attempted to forestall the forces of revolution. This eyewitness history is based on exclusive access to the original manuscript memoirs of Count Loris-Melikov; Tsar Alexander II's chief minister; and on the author's personal experience in Tsar Nicholas II's government as Secretary-in-Chief of the Duma. Appendix: Interview with Count Leo Tolstoy Edited and with an introduction by Irene Vartanoff

The vast bulk of Americans have little knowledge of the actual threats that we face; both internally and externally. In a sense this is understandable; our news media spends its time and capital on sordid murder trials; sex scandals; narrow political agendas and the antics of public personalities. Our educators have not improved the matter either. Our culture is being systematically cleansed by a soporific political correctness that has led to a profound lack of knowledge about the challenges we now face. Before the second World War; the ignorance of the international forces arrayed against us was of a more innocent sort. Americans in general felt isolated from global events because of the oceans separating us from the European and Asian wars and our habit of not becoming too involved in foreign intrigues. Today; we are fully engaged in global trade; global politics and multinational power brokering. Yet; the same ignorance exits; but for a far more disturbing reason. We are being deliberately misled by propaganda as effective as that of Joseph Goebbels (“Tell a big lie; tell it often and most will come to conclude it is the truth”); the father of modern journalism. The combined efforts of media; politics and academia are bent on conditioning we the people to the new realities of relative truth; moral equivalency and unquestioned acceptance of a new world order. On occasion; someone speaks truth to power with a clear voice. Such a person is David Rubin; an American born Israeli who brings a comprehensive understanding of the Islamic threat to Western Civilization from both the experiential and the philosophical perspectives in a fine blend of in depth research and common sense. The Islamic Tsunami carefully examines the urban myths propagated by agenda driven political powers and the media elite so as to reveal the underlying philosophical and cultural underpinnings of the international terrorist movement. Without these essential perspectives we are subject to constant surprise because we cannot anticipate the next move or the consequences of our response. We are like the myopic basketball player who sees only the action in front and misses the deployment of the rest of the team as they set up to score.Rubin’s compact book is easy to comprehend as it cuts through the technical jargon and flows logically from topic to topic; connecting our founding principles to their current application in this war weary world. In addition; it is not without sound suggestions that counter the current trends. This is a must read for anyone seeking to understand and properly respond to the great threats confronting our national future and our individual rights.10 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Islamic Tsunami Reveals the Islamic Threat to the WorldBy Steve R. ShochetIslamic Tsunami by David Rubin is highly recommended for anyone who really cares about the United States and it's future. It is a must read for all US citizens who love freedom and democracy. America and the West are facing dangerous threats from Islam. Islamic Tsunami;is a smooth read as it describes the war being waged in the US and throughout the world. David Rubin has done a tremendous service by writing Islamic Tsunami and addressing the critical threat to Western Civilization posed by Muslim extremists and Islamic terrorists - those who seek to transform and control the United States and the world through terrorism; demography; propaganda; and violent intimidation. David Rubin clearly explains that a strong Israel-U.S. relationship is not the problem; but is the solution to the Islamic threat on the US. As an American-Israeli; a terror victim; and a resident of Samaria with intimate contact with the Islamic world; David Rubin clearly presents readers with a honest front-line perspective. This is a must read for anyone who wants to know the facts about the Islamic Tsunami and how to prevent it from destroying America and the rest of the free world.6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. A Timely BookBy Jan KarnisOn reading David Rubin's "The Islamic Tsunami;" I can say: If you're looking for political correctness; this is not one for you. However; if you're willing to face the facts in a world influenced by ultimate good and evil; then this book is a must. David Rubin's presentation is refreshingly clear. It's a wake up call - the alarm is sounded - don't be overwhelmed by the tsunami. A particularly timely image in the wake of current events. David Rubin quotes America's Founding Fathers who warned of the evil threat. They understood biblical truths that set the country on a firm base; and made it a natural ally of Israel when the Jewish State was reborn. The foundations are now threatened. Men and women of good will must stand together - Americans; Israelis; Middle Easterners; etc. There are many decent Moslems; but the spiritual force behind the Islamic Tsunami is evil.
