An excellent read about a fascinating topic.By Wallace DayThere are numerous books about the overall subject of "The Ultra Secret" and Bletchley Park as there should be. It is a fascinating story with some parts of it still untold even after nearly 70 years. This book covers many aspects of the amazingly successful efforts to break the various military codes used by Germany and Japan before and during a World War II. I found it fascinating even though understanding the actual methodology used was beyond my ability to comprehend.Nonetheless I recommend this book very highly. One result of reading it whetted my appetite to read more of the numerous titles out there about the same topic. One suggestion would be to read two other books before attempting this one. One of these is titled "A Man Called Intrepid" by William Stepeheson and the other is "The Ultra Secret" by Winterbotham. These provide a more general overview which makes the "Hut Six" book that much easier to understand0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. For those of you who are not greatly interested in the projecft; I think that you might find this book difficult to follow and that it wanders a bit.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
