Far out in the south-eastern part of the Pacific Ocean lies one of the world’s most remote islands. Located over 2;000 miles away from Chile and South America; the nearest continent; and over 1;300 miles away from its nearest inhabited neighbour; Pitcairn Island; Easter Island is a solitary mass of land alone at the southeastern–most point of the Polynesian Triangle. And yet this small patch of land; a mere dot within the vast Pacific Ocean; is one of the most famous islands in the world. Today; Easter Island is almost synonymous for the unique artifacts that grace its coastline and interior; particularly the nearly 900 monumental statues that are unlike anything found elsewhere across the globe. Known as “Moai” by the island inhabitants; these statues have amazed everyone who has seen them in person or in photos; and they have befuddled researchers attempting to answer important questions about them. The Moai also vary considerably; with the tallest having a height of over 70 feet and the shortest being less than 4 feet. With the average statue having a height of about 13 feet and a weight of several tons; it’s unclear how or why the inhabitants constructed them; and given the manner in which they were positioned across certain parts of Easter Island; it’s also unclear how the inhabitants transported the giant monoliths. On top of that; some researchers have speculated that only a third of the Moai made it to their intended destination on the island. Of course; before these statues could be created; the people who made them needed to find their way to Easter Island’s desolate location; which was quite literally in the middle of the nowhere. Then they also needed to learn how to settle there and survive. The story of Easter Island’s statues is extraordinary; but the story of how people came to be there in the first place is just as incredible. History’s Greatest Mysteries: Easter Island comprehensively covers the facts; mysteries; and theories surrounding the island’s inhabitants and their famous creations. Along with pictures and a bibliography; you will learn about Easter Island like you never have before; in no time at all.

COMPELLING LOGIC FOR EGYPTIAN HISTORY REVISIONBy KEBLAABContemporary Egyptology and the science/academic Establishment are outrageously inaccurate; shamefully wrong and deceptively misleading in their explanation of why; how; when and by whom the Great Pyramid was constructed. There is not a single legitimate thread of historical or logical evidence to support the false; RAMP/TOMB version that is presently being taught in the schools of our modern nations and broadcast in the media. Don't believe me? Read this book!!! It will teach you; step by step; how the Great Pyramid was actually erected from the ground up and the remarkably sophisticated engineering capability that was put to practice in its construction. The author's research; detail and description is water-tight. While from my own research I do not personally agree with every conclusion in this book; Mr. Carson has substantially added to the growing legitimate evidence that reveals the use of highly advanced hydraulics as the key factor. This book is technical and scientific. To add additional support and clarity to this book's major premise I also suggest reading Steven Myers' "Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid" as a companion reader. Myers' book adds more illustration and is a much easier read for the layman to grasp. Both Carson and Myers work support each other in the most important respects.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Water was essential for the construction of the Great Pyramid!By Steven MyersAs the author of two books about the link between the Great Pyramid and water I knew I had to read this book. The author provides an exhaustive explanation of how the Great Pyramid was assembled using water; barges and water locks. There are a few fine points about his explanation I don’t agree with but that is OK. This fosters scholarly debate and the pursuit of truth unlike the lockstep agreement Egyptology seems to have regarding the construction of the Great Pyramid. There are a number of important themes in this book. Water and it’s property of buoyancy is used to move stones on barges to the building site. Water locks were used to move the stones on barges up to their final resting place. The ancient builders were geniuses and possessed high intelligence. The structure was built as designed and there was no change of plans midway through construction as is contended by Egyptologists. Every passage and chamber has a functional purpose related to the construction of the Great Pyramid. The ideas of Egyptology of some mythical mega-ramp with strong backed workers dragging stones is both incorrect as well as an impossibility. Egyptology will never demonstrate their ideas because their notions of how the stones were cut to precision and how the Great Pyramid was assembled are fancies perpetuated decade after decade by naive “experts” who should know better. Robert Carson gives glory and honor to those ancient builders who created their masterpiece in stone. If these themes are of interest to you then you should read this book. The author also provides an explanation of how the extremely large stones at Baalbek were moved from the quarry and set in place. He provides the most logical explanation of how the so-called massive trilithon blocks were moved and set in place in their final location. He also provides the most reasonable explanation I have ever encountered as to why the most massive stones are set on top of smaller stones. His outstanding explanation of the movement and placement of the stones at Baalbek is well worth the price of the book. The only thing I wish the book had was more illustrations. The illustration the book does have are excellent but additional illustrations would help the reader follow the explanation of how the Great Pyramid was assembled. I have added this book to my research library and will be the first to read any additional books written by Robert Carson.
