Fascinating Read!!By SusanI grew up in the fifties and sixties; and as a young kid I remember a lot of this. Had you asked me to describe the era; I wouldn't have thought to include so much of what Halberstam has woven together but he does a masterful job of doing so. And in the process; you understand how the Sixties happened; which is when things really got crazy (and not always in a good way!). Hindsight is 20-20 and its fascinating to look back to the decade that was so instrumental in paving the way to fundamental change in America.
