PDF The Essential Charles Eastman (Ohiyesa): Light on the Indian World (Sacred Worlds) by Charles Eastman in History

Description

Oxford-educated historian Farrell's sequel to Saucers; Swastikas and Psyops and his best-selling book series on suppressed technology; Nazi survival and postwar hidden conflicts. Farrell delves into the creation of a breakaway civilization by the Nazis in South America and other parts of the world. He discusses the advanced technology that they took with them at the end of the war and psychological war that they waged for decades on America and NATO. He investigates the secret space programs currently going on by the breakaway civilizations and the current militaries in control of planet Earth. Plenty of astounding accounts; documents and speculation on the incredible alternative history of hidden conflicts and secret space programs that began when World War II officially "ended.”

But provides a 19th century point of view of Lakota spirituality. The language referring to his people as Savages is dated and feels like finger nails on a black board. But he is an authentic source. I'm glad I added this to my pantheon of Lakota Spirituality.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. An outstanding introduction to a truly great American with well selectedBy Murray J CaseyAn outstanding introduction to a truly great American with well selected; cogent passages from three of his most revealing works. It will make the reader wanting to read and know more about his writings and the man. The book or at least long selections should be required reading in USA secondary schools.16 of 18 people found the following review helpful. A mandatory read for all AmericansBy Annie PopeThis amazing; marvelous; brilliant little boy was orphaned -- for a while -- when his father disappeared at Wounded Knee. His tribe fled to Canada and he was raised by grandparents in a tee pee. What he didn't know was that his father had not been killed; but was; in fact; captured and imprisoned by the American Army. When Ohiyesa was 12; the prison released his dad; and the two were reunited when his father finally found him. The two returned to the United States; the young boy was enrolled in American private schools. He assumed the name Charles Eastman. He was accepted by Dartmouth College; and eventually became an M.D. But it was difficult for a Native American physician to practice medicine; so writing was one way for Eastman to support himself. He wrote many essays and short books describing the values; beliefs; and lifestyle of the Sioux Native Americans. These accounts torpedo the stereotypes and present the purist possible view of Native man and woman; They are earliest; and most accurate descriptions written by a Native American in the English language; that I have been able to find so far. Eastman's works are simple; elegant; streamlined; graceful; lyrical; and profound. His writing can be; therefore; nothing less than intriguing. I believe it speaks to the soul of humanity. This author should be a big name in American literature. Why isn't he?
