The End of Eden: The Comet That Changed Civilization

ePub The End of Eden: The Comet That Changed Civilization by Graham Phillips in History

Description

Ethiopians form the third largest post-1960 African immigrant in the U.S. Over the years; their migratory patterns have changed in response to changes in Ethiopian and American diplomatic relationships. The Ethiopian immigrants also vary among themselves depending on whether they were granted asylum; are refugees; or benefit from the Diversity Visa (DV) lottery winners. Getahun studies the context of the immigrants arrival; their patterns of settlement; and their adjustment in the U.S. Differences between immigrants may be explained by ethnic or regional origin; class; politics; and religion. The resultant communities support social and religious institutions and Ethiopians are succeeding in establishing community organizations and religious institutions and seek to influence U.S foreign policy towards Ethiopia.

BrandonI was intrigued by the theory put forth regarding a comet catastrophe in the time of the Garden Of Eden; and the author did a fine job of linking events with possibilities of what we know in modern times of astrophysical studies. Comets are throughout the ancient biblical; as well as other; authoritative writings....in all major cultures; both past and present. I thought the argument for his theory was quite plausable; and may answer questions regarding additional mysterious 'dissapearances' of other physical areas; that modern scientific 'authorities' continue to disregard as mere myths.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. This book makes an excellent case for one such eventBy John D. Gonzales-luskWorth a read! I have long believed a comet/asteroid strike(s); or near strike; is the secret to unraveling much of earth's history and why without that acceptance we will never really understand just exactly who we are or what out place is in the universe. This book makes an excellent case for one such event.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
