A fearless young Swede whose efforts saved countless Hungarian Jews from certain death at the hands of Adolf Eichmann; Raoul Wallenberg was one of the true heroes to emerge during the Nazi occupation of Eu-rope. He left a life of privilege and; against staggering odds; brought hope to those who had been abandoned by the rest of the world. Here is the gripping; passionately written biography of the courageous man who displayed extraordinary humanity during one of history’s darkest periods.

KreutzerAs an educator; I am delighted by this book and wish I had learned of it many years ago. Every American needs to be aware of the many contributions and sacrifices made by Black patriots in the earliest days of our nation...especially young Black people today. The USA belongs to all of us; not a single race or group. This book; written more than 150 years ago makes clear the patriotism felt by Blacks then; and during the days of the revolution. If the people then could find America so beloved and precious to fight for; and even die for; at a time when so many Blacks were enslaved; then Blacks; and Whites today should feel even more passionately about this nation. This book is amazing history that has been unknown for far too long. Do yourself and your nation a great service and read it. It will dispel some false beliefs and give you a greater appreciation of the great Americans who forged this great country.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Requirement if you want to study the American revolutionBy ALI am impressed by these guys because they are doing something that I know that I would not due; based on the fact that black Americans were not afforded the same rights as white Americans at the time. Those men are much better men than I am and for that they need to not only be applauded but they need some recognition as in the manner of this book being re introduced into the schools and having schools actually named after them!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Free IndeedBy Penn ConsultingAbsolutely love these rich truths. Its nice to find that you are not the only one. This confirms that America is the only nation founded by people that loved God for the purpose of worshipping Him. They weren't perfect but this makes me prouder than ever of our Christian heritage.
