Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Bancroft Prize. Across the Wide Missouri tells the compelling story of the climax and decline of the Rocky Mountain fur trade during the 1830s. More than a history; it portrays the mountain fur trade as a way of business and a way of life; vividly illustrating how it shaped the expansion of the American West.

Best Mosquito Repellent Bracelets for the whole familyBy Belinda AdamsI bought these Mosquito Repellent Bracelets for my family since we live in the woods and really close to the river; so the mosquito's here are really bad and someone times I feel like I can't even bring my kids out to play worrying about them getting bites. So when buying these bracelets I was hoping for the best and have tried so many different products and brands and nothing has worked. So we had a chance to enjoy a day of warmer weather so I put a bracelet on each one of my children and one on myself. We went outdoors to play and run around. The bracelets were great and can fit small children to adults and I was very impressed with that knowing that it fits everyone in my family. So we wore our bracelets and played outdoors for hours with any mosquito bites lets just say I was one happy mama. I placed them back in the package so we can reuse them up to ten hours that's great. They are very easy to use and can be placed on the wrist; ankle; strollers; backpacks; or a diaper bag. It's great and one of my new favorite products I have already told many friends and family members and posted on social media.27 of 28 people found the following review helpful. No more bites!By msmeSo far no bites! We live next to a river and the mesquitos are horrible. I had so many bites on my legs I thought; I was going to go crazy from itching. Our pool is clean and pump runs all day but they still fly around your face while swimming. The first night I put the bracelet on no mequitos; I took the bracelet off got in pool and the mequitos swarmed me. I got out of pool put bracelet back on and got back in pool; no mesquitos. I tried my best not to get the bracelet wet but I did; the mesquitos still stayed away! I have only had the bracelets three days so we'll see how long they last. They do have string scent but not bad smell.109 of 122 people found the following review helpful. We all liked the natural oils and were impressed that the smell ...By MistyI purchased these for my team while we were doing mission work in Nicaragua. We all liked the natural oils and were impressed that the smell was not overpowering. The only downside we experienced was that the clasp was not secure enough and many folks lost their bracelets early on due to this. Overall I was very pleased with this product and its price.
