One of the preface pages has a sample map with "best of" Lakes; Waterfalls Water Features graphically depicting the concentration of the "best" relative to the whole park. At a glance; you can view this; or similar depictions; to determine where you need to be and/or stay to enjoy what's most important to your group ...Day Hikes; Scenic Drives; Birds; Wildlife; Wildlife-from-the-Road; Backpacking; Bike Rides; Historic Sites; Activities for Children; and many more. Fast Facts about Glacier Waterton are good orientation...10 Things You May Not Know gave me comfort from bear encounter info that abounds...there are no poisonous snakes in Glacier! Praise be!...one thing I don't need to give another thought! :-) This book is making our Granddad / Gram / Grandaughter trip planning so much easier!12 of 12 people found the following review helpful. A great Summary of Glacier ParkBy SunnyI gave it a 4 because I could have used more details. But there is a lot to cover on the content of Glacier Park; so all in all it is a great summary book.It is organized well; written well. The maps included are easy to read with locations and descriptions.I will be using the book as a reference and looking up the details on the locations I want to visit.Over all the book is a great introduction to Glacier National Park and has helped me plan my visit.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Reasonable introduction to GNPBy tore777we're planning a trip to glacier and this was reasonably helpful on the sights we might be interested in; less helpful regarding the campgrounds and lodging opportunities. Fairly robust discussion on flora and fauna; and some good basic hiking info. Maps were low resolution and of marginal help.
