The Anunnaki Chronicles: A Zecharia Sitchin Reader

audiobook The Anunnaki Chronicles: A Zecharia Sitchin Reader by Zecharia Sitchin in History

Description

Michael Muhammad Knight embarks on a quest for an indigenous American Islam in a series of interstate odysseys. Traveling 20;000 miles by Greyhound in sixty days; he squats in run-down mosques; pursues Muslim romance; is detained at the U.S.-Canadian border with a trunkload of Shia literature; crashes Islamic Society of North America conventions; stink-palms Cat Stevens; and limps across Chicago to find the grave of Noble Drew Ali; filling dozens of notebooks along the way. The result is this semi-autobiographical book; with multiple histories of Fard and the landscape of American Islam woven into Knight’s own story. In the course of his adventures; Knight sorts out his own relationship to Islam as he journeys from punk provocateur to a recognized voice in the community; and watches first-hand the collapse of a liberal Islamic dream. The book’s extensive cast of characters includes anarchist Sufi heretics; vegan kungfu punks; tattoo-sleeved converts in hard-core bands; spiritual drug dealers; Islamic feminists; slick media entrepreneurs; sages of the street; the grandsons of Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X; and a group called Muslims for Bush.

Easy to read and understandBy Allen EplingThe first books of the "Earth Chronicles" series by Zecharia Sitchin were slow to develope and required reading pages and pages of historical research data and ancient documents before any analysis was given that made sense to the lay community. This book zips past the research and gets right to the results of the research and quickly informs the reader as to the meaning of what the documents were saying; according to ZS. If true; it is a complete rewrite of ancient history and man's origins as we have been taught. Easy to read and understand; gets right to the point; and written in a narrative form that makes clear the message of the original books of Mr. Sitchin. It is a fitting tribute to the man who first saw the message the ancient Summerians were telling us; that is being ignored by mainstream archeology.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A very good job!By GeemacsterSitchin's niece has done a very good job of putting the key sections of his various books together to give us a sort of "thumbnail" picture of the compllete series.?0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A gratifying book for a Sitchin FanBy CustomerThis is such a gratifying book for me! I have been a serious student of Sitchin since the 70's; and this book helps condense the volumes of research in his previously published books in an easy to understand way. It is also really wonderful to read unpublished information and by Sitchin. It is like having him back with us again; and still devotedly revealing more and more evidence of the Anunnkai origin of of our species.
