This book is straight forward; understandable; and full of information. It is balanced between formal data (5 plus 5 Precepts; etc.) and parables (The Two Monks). I found that it either answered; or allowed me to find and answer thru additional research; all the nagging questions I had about Buddhism. would I recommend this as the only book on Buddhism? Not at all; but for a first book I certainly would.
