Glendinning came to her task fond of Trollope and his copious oeuvre. I got the feeling as i read her well furnished; penetrating book that she grew even fonder of the man and his work as she went along. Tolstoi thought that Trollope was a major novelist; so does Glendinning; and so do I. He was also; warts and all; a very endearing man.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy CustomerIndispensable for research on Morris County ancestors; both enslaved and the slaveholders.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
