Description

America would learn of Islam's tenets on September 11; 2001 when some of its followers would take off their mask of peace and reveal their true face. Since that day many have become lost in the propaganda war. They have become confused about Islam. They have searched for answers to many questions. What are the origins of Islam? Who was Muhammad? Are Allah and God the same? Is Islam a peaceful religion? What is Paradise and who can go there? Is there equality between Mulim men and women? What common ground is there between Christians and Muslims? Islam Unmasked removes the mask of deception and reveals the truth about this ancient religion. Throughout the pages of this illuminating book; you'll learn about the pagan origins of Islam. You'll examine the history of its founder. You'll discover the lies behind its doctrines. You'll see the futility of its practices. You'll find the common ground to talk with Muslims. And you'll realize the power that comes from sharing the love of God with Islam's captives. Islam Unmasked--unmask the lie; discover the truth. (Henry Malone)

Radar stories that capture our unique prespective of conflictBy Aaron G DriverAs a current USAF radar troop I was very interested in finding a book about prior radar techs. I stumbled upon this one and have not been dissapointed. I spend the majority of my year sitting with equipment in all the middle-of-nowheres all over the world. The special occurences and bonds that form when people preform montonous shift work isolated in extreme enviorments is one that I wouldn't trade for anything and it is one that this book captured wonderfully. You'll be glad to know I read it while on a deployment and have since passed it around the shop. Everyone loves it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Been near thereBy FrankI too served on a remote radar site on Hokkaido during the Cold War. The author's stories were well done and the photos were great. It reminded me of some of my adventures there. I shared the book with a friend who happened to be a paymaster at Wakkanai. He also enjoyed the book.6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. I was there.By A. SettingThe book "Site 18" written by Richard E. Waldron is; in my opinion; nothing short of a masterpiece. In the short stories he tells you can almost see the characters as well as smell the seaweed; the fish; the crabs and the honeybuckets. The book tells how life on a remote radar site during the Korean War and the Cold War was; and how miserable the remoteness and the winters at the radar sites on Hokkaido were. What I remember most is how the young men in that place and at that time made the most of it. They did not question why they were there; they just did their job - just like the young men did in all the wars before Korea and all the wars after Korea. There were some tragic times and there were some good times; there were some sad times and some happy times.I for one enjoyed the book. I was there.Al SettingNovato; California
