Silent HeroesBy Lowell ThomasAs a military pilot for twenty-six years; I know it is difficult to get military veterans to relate their combat experiences. The experiences of those in this book are a vital part of history . . . they are real; gripping and sometimes unpleasant. This should be mandatory reading for all high school history students. Lt. Col. Donald L. Abbott (Ret). United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran(This was given to me as a gift; but it was purchased on .com by Lowell Thomas)
