I learned a lot - it was a "good read" about a subject I formerly knew nothing about.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. good storyBy ann watsonI recommended this to our book group. Interesting but not too long.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Excellent autobiography of a tank battalion soldier in the Korean WarBy MarilynI read this book twice for two reasons. It is not long and it has parts in it that should be absorbed.Mr. Meeker moves rather quickly over his very poor childhood. His intention is probably not to have the readerunderstand that even someone from extreme humble beginnings can achieve almost anything; but that is whatis done here perfectly. He writes in just enough detail his experiences in a tank battalion in the Korean War. Parts of thisbook are not easy to read as they speak of the horrors of war. This is indeed a first hand account of these experiencesfrom someone who was there and still has a very vivid memory of what happened "Shouting All the Way."
