A very nice reference book for those who collect US Civil War ...By THing4CSAA very nice reference book for those who collect US Civil War relics; bullet collectors; or reenactors. This will make some rethink what side; Union or Confederate used certain bullets; such as the .577 cal Enfield bullets. Most think the Confederates were the only troops to use the Enfield rifle during the Civil War; but you would be mistaken as many Union troops were issued this fine rifle and it is one of many that are still mistaken as only Confederate used weapons. A good read but remember that this is only a Reference book so it is about the bullets and weapons not so much about those that used them in battle.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. great for any Civil WarBy jpaskillgreat for any Civil War; gun; or history buff. It helps identify the most used bullets at Gettysburg. I would recommend this to anyone.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Ready Aim Fire - Interesting piece of work.By Robert L. JohnsonReady...Aim...Fire is an interesting book. The idea behind it is to associate the various types of small arms ammunition found in specific areas of the battle field with the units that fought in those respective areas. I have always found this type of work to be very important in certain types of analytical historical analysis. The book therefore fills a very important roll.
