I like many read Esther Forbes fiction Johnny Tremain in grade school. This non-fiction book starts off with Paul's father fleeing France for religious freedom. The book ends shortly after Paul's death. You get a terrific understanding of colonial life and the many ways Paul helped colonial America and the revolution. I understand this is Ms. Forbes only non-fiction book. It received a Pulitzer Prize. This is the best book I've read about this country forming0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Paul Revere's World...By CustomerThis is a great read if you're into American history. Everyone knows about the midnight ride of Paul Revere. But there is a whole lot more to know about him than one singular moment in his life. And a lot to learn about Boston and the early settlers; the British influence; and what Paul Revere did both before and after the American Revolution.
