It was extremely informative and enlightening. It was unencumbered by the anti-Puritan bias that infects our culture today. Daniels writes about the enormous cultural contributions of the 17th century New England Puritans. He does it shy away from the difficult topics such as the extermination of the natives; the hanging of witches and Quakers; etc. If you are interested in early American history then you will enjoy this book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
