Based on a true tale from the early 1900s; this work of historical fiction gives life to murderer William Kleeman; a handsome young farmer from southwestern Minnesota who courts the beautiful Maud Petri. After a quick engagement and marriage; the couple produce four children and are joined by boarder Mary Snelling; who teaches at the country school across the road. This addictive story winds through many twists before ending in a deadly rampage that results in one of the most notorious ax murders in American history.

Improvement over 2005-2006 guideBy Isabel MirandaAs many people think; Jane's Fighting Ships is just too expensive. Eric Wertheim's combat fleets is far cheaper and the quality is getting very near of Jane's. This particular guide of 2007-2008 is in my oppinion an improvement over last one. I wish they published this guide every year; waiting 2 years for the next one is the only bad thing about this book.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. why spend moreBy D. George PelesIt is as good as the Jane's that I remember from a few years ago but at a third of the price. So why spend more?
