I find that it is mostly a vehicle to promote her website instead of giving you the true insider's view of military life. I get much better information from support websites sepcific to the branch of the military that my husband is in. It is not worth the money I spent on it.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Future Army Wife Loved ItBy Joseph O'ShaughnessyI got this for my wife; before I leave for basic; and now she knows a lot more then I do. I haven't read it myself but the information shes repeating back is germane and accurate. She says its great and it has provided some pre-enlistment advice that has proven extremely valuable. I can't say the book would be the ultimate guide to everything but...... If you have a significant other who's having a hard time understanding what she's going to have to adjust to. GET THIS BOOK. It goes over drill and ceremony; proper attire for you spouse during Military events. Remember even if your the one serving; our spouses still represent us and should be given the best to make it through as well.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. WonderfullBy SavanahI really enjoyed this book as a new military wife I see a lot of good information all in one spot. Yes you can find all this information on websites like military.com and milspouse but that is long. I love the direct format that the book makes you process and it is blunt all qualitys I like! However something's need more elaboration for a basic overview if it's directed towards a guide book but the author does present links to other things that will help you. Loved the book !
