This book provides a good; broad overview of the war in the Europe ...By A historianThis book provides a good; broad overview of the war in the Europe but it doesn't reveal much in the way of "new" information for students of the Western European Theater. There are a few annoying things in the book that will bother the most ardent hardcore military history buffs - such as calling rounds "bullets"; generally referring to Wehrmacht soldiers as Nazis; etc. I was also surprised with how abruptly the book ended without any analysis of forensics; etc. Perhaps that information is just unavailable. Anyhow; this is a "light" read and entertaining to those who have a surface understanding of the war.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Killing the readerBy SheilabMEH! Reasonably well written; not so sure about facts. Original version full of spelling errors and typos that annoyed me very much.2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Another Great Book in the "Killing...."; Series!!By mdwrightI gave this book a Four Star rating based more on how it compares to the other "Killing......"; books(Lincoln; Kennedy; etc.) in this series so far. Overall It's a Five Star book.As with the other books in the series it's very well researched and keeps a nice pace throughout the entire book. The book goes into great detail about the last year or so of George Patton's life. If I had any criticism of the book it would be that only the last few pages were devoted to the accident that ultimately took Patton's life. The conspiracy theories surrounding his death are brought up and discussed; I just thought they might discuss them in further detail. If you've read and enjoyed any of the other books in this series you'll definitely enjoy Killing Patton. Another great book by O'Reilly and Dugard.
