Dr. Venter is unquestionable the authority on the Kilpatrick Raid on Richmond in 1864. I especially enjoyed the short biographical sketches of the participants involved in this drama along with the description of Dahlgren's death and the details of what transpired with his body along with his personal property. This book is highly recommended reading.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
