Not for the novice for sure but if Youre into Bozeman Trail get this first and one of those more general works like John D McDermott's. Here's the maps and itineraries also but be sure to get the Wyoming and Montana map -books also if Youre gonna get to the hills and crossings yourself. I myself have the Wyoming maps by Benchmark that have the Bozeman Trail marked but their Montana 2012 edition ; for some reason; don't have.?. So here goes five stars to the lady who made a huge job. A wealth of informationBy depoezenbootAlong with the diary entries from those who traveled the Bozeman Trail; this book also provides a wealth of background information about the development of the trail. Maps; calendars; etc. Extremely comprehensive and well-written.
