A Jackie Robinson Book For the Whole Family to Discuss at Dinner!By Patricia SonegoThis is a wonderfully written book about Robinson's incredible struggles and the inhuman expectations placed upon him. A great read for young adults as well adults. I highly recommend it. Also makes an excellent selection for middle and high school teachers looking for a social studies; American history; or black history focus. Lots to discuss with this book!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy DLTS - HCCExcellent1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. An excellent examination of America through Jackie Robinson.By CustomerGrowing up in Cairo; GA Jackie Robinson was always a figure on everyone's lips. His life somehow became mythical in our parts. I'm glad this book shed some light on the man behind the myth. It also does a wonderful job examining American Civil Rights at that time. An excellent read all in all.
