It begins with how the early Muslims use their faith to shape Islamic Ideology for both state and society. The book also discusses the rise of Islam; the many empires that flourished and as well as declined. Lastly; The book nicely make its way out by talking about the modern fundamentalism. This book doesnt really convince one to take sides or anything like that. It just sheds a perspective on the basic timeline of Islamic Politics.
