Improvised Munitions Handbook TM 31 210

DOC Improvised Munitions Handbook TM 31 210 by Department of the Army in History

Description

In spite of repeated invasion and foreign rule; the Persians have maintained their traditions and language in a remarkable continuity. "The Heritage of Persia" traces that continuity through more than a thousand years - from the time the Iranians first came upon the plateau to the Islamicisation of the land in the tenth century A.D. Professor Frye illuminates a little-known but vastly important era of history as he describes the early culture of these inventive; sophisticated; and powerful people. Here are the fabulous figures of antiquity: Cyrus and Zoroaster; the Achaemenids and the Parthians; the legends and the facts of the Iranian past - one of the greatest civilizations in human history.

Definitely one of the more technical books I've ever come across.By Warren GI bought this book for research on a fictional story I'm writing; and hopefully publishing in the future. The vast majority of it pretty much went over my head. I wanted a grasp of improvised munitions such as what are/were utilized in Europe during WWII; and this book covers it very well. I'm in no way any kind of scientifically-inclined individual; so I had to look up what some of the chemical terms were. This isn't really a book that turns you into a mad kitchen chemist capable of IEDs... there's definitely an impression left that this is the sort of thing that probably was useful to those who have some kind of chemistry background. Whether or not they could be realistically used; I don't know. But I think as I write the story; I should be able to write out events well enough that a casual reader should feel like it was realistically portrayed. That's the goal; anyway.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. gifts for soldiersBy Pamela J.good gift for a soldier who couldn't find it elsewhere!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. we terrorists nowBy NathanVery neat; good quality; but I haven't actually made anything from this. Looks brand new; and straight up tells you how to make a fertilizer bomb.
