"Glory Days: 365 Inspired Moments in African American History" is a great source for African American historical information. Black History Month should not be confined to only February; it should be studied 365 days each year. Share the daily readings with your children so that they are aware of their history and the price paid for the freedom they currently have. Hopefully; they will appreciate and apply the lessons to their current lifestyle and do positive things including voting in all elections. Janus Adams other books with similar titles for 365 days of history are definitely worth reading as well.
