This book is the second in a series that show the camouflaged uniforms of the armies of the world. This volume covers the armies of forty countries of the Middle East and Asia. Where the previous volume on European and NATO armies only covered camouflage uniforms; this volume has added rank insignia and other badges making the book more complete. For the first time; the reader will have a full overview of the different military garments used by these countries. Many of these armies are engaged in conflicts around the globe. If not in United Nations peacekeeping operations; it is in the war against terrorism - in the Middle East; Korea; or Indonesia. In all of these conflict zones camouflage plays an important role and all of them are shown here in color.

The narratives are interesting as overview and give an idea of each general's contributions and actions in the US Civil War. There are sections on each general after the war. Partially because the author kept it very pithy. I like history books that are short and to the point. If you want to include reference material put it in the back; just tell me the story and that is what this book does. He starts with Southern Generals and then moves onto Norther Generals. The layout is the same: Background from birth to the Civil War; list of battles fought; brief descriptions of each battle and then a post Civil War account until the death of the General. They were all interesting in their own way; the good; the competent and bad generals. And if you want to read up on a particular General you can go straight to that chapter. This book was well organized; lots of good pictures and maps; a great bibliography section and told in a captivation style. Great stuff.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. ... anyone who is a Civil War buff has a favorite General no matter which sideBy DutchI would imagine anyone who is a Civil War buff has a favorite General no matter which side. This book tells about their lives before the war; their Civil War Battles; and their lives afterthe war..I learned some things I did not know; and of course a lot I did.It is well written; easy to understand; I have the good old Kindle book; therefore the photographsaren't very good..A very good book if you need something to refer to; keep in mind the biography's are not long anddrawn out so if you just want to read it you do not get bogged down..A recommended book..Dutch...................
