Open Mind Required HereBy Wandering Pilot in SeattleEhrman is sticking to many of his previous book themes; more or less; that his considerable education and research has led him to recalibrate and adjust his early Fundamentalist commitment. HintzBart tells it like it is. Forgery is a strong word - it means that - as a wimp - you write a book and then attribute the work to a BIG GUY (sort of like those phoney viral emails). A lot of the wimps that penned yarns in the Western Bible were unaware that historians and archaeologists would de-bunk their fables. And some of the forgers were not wimps! A (much hated) tax collector might write a book praising tax collectors in a less-than-obvious way. A slave owner might pen a passage in praise of slave owners. You get the idea. And the gullible would go for it (in the same way the gullible of today go for those DUMB emails).
