MuckalaA nice overall history of the exploration of the Mississippi River from the early Spanish conquistadors such as De Soto through LaSalle and Hennepin to Schoolcraft; Beltrami and Glazier. Especially interesting to me was the later explorations by the men looking for the source of the river in NW Minnesota.
