Afterwards he drew these beautiful remarkable pictures and wrote about his memories. His parents were killed; and I'm almost overwhelmed with sorrow after reading this very poignant book and viewing his drawings. An incredible testament to the Nazis' brutalityBy mgI was privileged to be shown this diary in the original Czech version many years ago; Iwas truly astounded by what I saw. I thought then as I do now that this was anextremely important and most unusual addition to the Holocaust literature. A diary;written and illustrated by a 15 year old; testifying to the unimaginable cruelty andbrutality of the Nazi murderers. It took several years to finally get this diary translatedand published for the benefit of only English speaking readers; the publishers did anexcellent job in presenting this diary to the public. A soul wrenching historical masterworkBy Jim BrysonThe author presents his childhood diary with his own illustrations. Powerful and emotional; but a story that needs to be told and remembered. This volume should be on the shelf of every serious library.
