This is a wonderfully intriguing book that argues that the young Garrison and ...By Molefi Kete AsanteNilgun Anadolu-Okur has written a powerfully insightful book on the relationship of two abolitionists; Frederick Douglass and William Lloyd Garrison. This book clearly shows Douglass as an eloquent orator and defender of the rights of Africans largely because of his reliance on the generative power of the spoken word. This is a wonderfully intriguing book that argues that the young Garrison and the younger Douglass were the key abolitionists fighting to end the enslavement of Africans.
