Good review of a much overlooked portion of the Battle of Gettysburg.By Roger T RoopExcellent resource for understanding the actions at both Cemetery and Culps Hill; actions which spanned the entire 3 days of battle.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Litle known action allow Union to prevailBy Ken StraferJohn Cox takes the reader along the seldom ventured Northern Approach to Gettysburg; before all the trinket shops had time to set up! He does a good job of terrain analysis and discussion of the troops that were in place at the time of the Battle in July 1863.Very good study of the Union position and well outlines for the reader. Great beach read!Ken11 of 13 people found the following review helpful. The Forgotten FlankBy A CustomerMr. Cox has written an excellent book on the fight for Culp's Hill at Gettysburgh on July 2nd. The book is very lively and well-written. His bio's on the different commanders is very interesting and insightful. Although the book is not footnoted; one can surmize where Mr. Cox got his information. I found it a very easy read; with excellent detail. It is a must read for anyone interested in the battle of Gettysburg.
