It's an okay book as long as you understand that like most gen-ed History texts it's more condensed and generalized as there's simply too much history to cover in the semester so the text is adjusted accordingly. Additionally; if detailed history knowledge is sought then you won't be using this text; rather you'll look for texts that specifically address what you want to know about. This text isn't a difficult read; it's just not a real deep look into the history being covered; rather it's trying to pack as much info in; stated as simple as possible.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Served it's purpose as a textbook... and ...By Teslynn AlbrechtServed it's purpose as a textbook... and I ACTUALLY use this. Most of the times you get a book and you never even need to open it; but this was very helpful.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Needed for schoolBy SamhainI needed this book for school but didn't want to pay school price so I went to and found this! What I didn't like about the book itself is that some of the information is confusing because some of the details are so subtle. You really have to read between the lines. I still recommend buying this book if you need it for class though. Even though the shipping is fast I don't recommend buying it at the last minute.
