An up-close and serious examination of the various different patterns of flying jackets; suits; headgear; boots and gloves worn by the courageous pilots and aircrews of these two great adversaries during World War II; by one of the most knowledgeable people on the subject. The book looks at the parallel development of flying clothing in the Luftwaffe and the Royal Air Force; and the surprising influence each country had upon the other. More than 500 photographs; over 400 of them in full color; identify full flying kit and clearly illustrate how it was worn.

A good example of this missing information is to follow the ...By CustomerAs a Civil War Buff that has visited and explored many small towns associated with the CW in many states. I find that this guide does not list manyof the historic homes and locations visited by the famous people associated with the CW. A good example of this missing information is to follow the Mosby Trail in Virginia and the Morgan trail in KY; IN; OH; and WV. There are many locations that can be visited that these 2 people are associated with that are open to the public to explore that are not listed in the guide. Another example is Union Col Grieson's raid in MS and LA.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. This turned out to be the single best book as it was conciseBy Ken LI purchased four books for use in planning a one week trip to eleven Civil War battle sites. This turned out to be the single best book as it was concise; provided good directions and described the action and results of each battle. With this information we were able to agree on the battles we wanted to cover in more detail.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
