It is long; but what do you expect? The construction is a bit flimsy; but with the length of the book; making it with a hardier form would make it huge. I have encouraged many people to get this history and I have given it to a few people who show an interest in knowing more about the process of Christian expansion. This isn't a book that justifies the conquest of the world by Christians. It shows the many struggles that the church has faced in its conflicted history.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A KeeperBy Too BlessedThis is the second copy of this book I am purchasing. It is a keeper for me. It gives me a wonderful and very descriptive view of the history of the church before it split into all the various denominations.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I enjoy a book that opens up my mindBy Tami BernsteinSome different perspectives in this book. Some need to be taken with a grain of salt; however; I enjoy a book that opens up my mind.
