Had read book years ago and was needing reference for visit to battlefield at later time. Will be used wil Boy Scout troop when on trip. Had uncle with 15th Alabama lose his legs there after surviving Little Round Top at Gettysburg two months earlier.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Good Companion to Other TextsBy Faustus RexFor one who is not familiar with Chickamauga this book is an excellent primer to get a general idea. I find Chickamauga one of the hardest battles to follow reflecting the confused affair it was the first two days. I also find this title an excellent companion when reading more in depth texts due to it's numerous and clear battle illustrations. On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A good short summary and nice illustrationsBy Dave D.A good short summary and nice illustrations. The maps are the best part and make an ideal companion when reading Peter Cozzens book on The Battle of Chickamauga "This Terrible Sound"
