This was a very slow read for me as the authors (the book is a compilation of essays by different authors) discuss the organization; training; and uniforms of the State Light Dragoons; the Continental Cavalry and back country militia. There was very little about the battles fought by the cavalry. The authors did some excellent research; but not what I was looking for. One chapter raised some interesting questions about the battle of the Cowpens and Continentals in Tarleton's Legion.0 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
